Client-Side Web Development Final Project- My Music Journal
My Music Journal is a fully custom, multi-page website I designed and developed from scratch as a personal music blogging platform. The site functions as a digital journal where I document and organize the music I listen to, combining thoughtful content structure with clean, responsive design.
From a technical perspective, this project demonstrates my ability to build a well-structured front-end website using semantic HTML, modern CSS layouts, and interactive JavaScript. The site consists of five interconnected pages with consistent navigation, hover states, and active-page indicators to enhance usability. I implemented both Flexbox and CSS Grid to create flexible, responsive layouts, supported by media queries to ensure the site adapts smoothly across screen sizes.
The project includes a variety of HTML elements used appropriately and accessibly, such as image galleries, an HTML table, and a fully functional form with a confirmation page. I also created a print-specific stylesheet and used JavaScript to implement a print button, demonstrating attention to edge cases and alternative user needs. Additional JavaScript event listeners were added using best practices to enhance interactivity.
Throughout the project, I focused on clean file organization, validated HTML and CSS, minimal redundancy, and original design choices rather than relying on templates. The final site is hosted online with a live URL and reflects both my technical skills and my personal interest in music and storytelling
.

Key skills demonstrated:
- Semantic, accessible HTML structure
- Responsive design with media queries
- Flexbox and CSS Grid layouts
- JavaScript event handling and DOM interaction
- Form handling and user feedback
- Print styling and cross-context design
- Clean file organization and code validation

Bahamas Marine Mammal Research Organization- Website Redesign
For this project, I redesigned the BMMRO website using WIX, working closely with the client to transform an outdated site into a modern, user-friendly digital presence. The original website suffered from inconsistent branding, unclear navigation, and outdated visuals, which made it difficult for users to quickly find important information.
My primary goal was to improve usability while creating a cohesive visual identity that accurately reflected the organization’s mission. I restructured the site’s navigation to make content easier to access, clarified information hierarchy, and designed clean, consistent layouts that guide users through the site intuitively. Special attention was given to responsive design to ensure the website functions seamlessly across both desktop and mobile devices.
Throughout the redesign process, I collaborated directly with the client to refine content, adjust design decisions, and ensure the final product aligned with their vision and needs. The result is a polished, accessible website with consistent branding and clear messaging that provides users with a smooth and engaging experience.
